Wedding Cake Wedding Food

Whimsical Candy Cake.

Sorry brides for having neglected you the past week. I was consumed with all things rugby and charitable so had little time to do anything, let alone write any posts. You now have my undivided attention. Who’s up for some candy coated cake? Ah….childhood memories.

Pop-a-licious.

Cake pops are taking the world by storm. They’re cute and round, small and can be eaten in one bite without getting your hands messy. Think chupa chups but instead of lolly, you’ll bite into soft moist cake. Have them instead of a wedding cake, for your wedding dessert bar or table centrepieces that are yummy favours at the same time. What’s best is that in the your post-holiday binge-eating state, your stomach can still afford to chow down a couple without feeling guilty. Bridelicious is trying her hand at making them this weekend for her parents’ 30th anniversary. Keep posted on the results and start drooling!

Simple and sweet.

Wedding Cake

Wedding cake yourself

There is vain and there is very vain. There is original and plain wacky. This particular bride in Dallas who was renewing her vows decided to have her wedding cake as a replica of, none other than herself. That poor lady probably didn’t receive a mirror as a wedding present. Her husband sure is ‘Innocent‘ (that’s his name!) – why did he not stop her?! I feel sorry for the guests who were served this life-sized cake. I mean, if she was Jessica Alba then there’s no problem.

Note: Bridelicious is not usually a b*tch.
