DIY Projects Guests

Love Potion Wedding Favours.

As far as wedding favours go, nothing can beat a shot of alcohol to make your guests loosen up, get into the groove and enjoy themselves. Line them up on the reception table with guests’ name tags to serve as escort cards or at the table as place cards. No matter what alcohol you decide to thank your guests with, be it rum, vodka, tequila, champagne or even your own concoction; you’ll be sure the party will start and end on a high. To personalise the bottles, I’ve put together a simple ‘Let’s get the party started’ label design in various colours for you to DIY. Simply print directly on label paper to create a sticker or if you prefer, print on thick paper, poke a hole and tie a string around the bottle for a tag style. Now, drink up!

Wedding Stationery: Escort Cards vs Place Cards.

Who knew there were so many different names for wedding stationery? Gone were the days of merely an invitation card; there are now save the dates cards, place cards and escort cards. As if you don’t already have enough on your plate planning the wedding! Do not fret, these cards are really just fancy ways to tell guests where they’re sitting and make for pretty photos. If you’re having fixed seating, place cards will ensure your guests will do as they’re told and sit where they’ve been assigned to. Escort cards on the other hand are additional touches that are not necessary but are nice to have. These are to remind the guest which table they’ll be sitting at, in case they forget (hey, some people have short memories). To kill two birds with one stone, the escort or place cards can be doubled as wedding favours (No chopsticks please. Enough of those at HK weddings!). It’s personal, environmentally friendly and will make your life a little easier. Get creative.

Give them something they can eat. They’ll be hungry.

DIY Projects Wedding Cake Wedding Food

Pop-a-licious.

Cake pops are taking the world by storm. They’re cute and round, small and can be eaten in one bite without getting your hands messy. Think chupa chups but instead of lolly, you’ll bite into soft moist cake. Have them instead of a wedding cake, for your wedding dessert bar or table centrepieces that are yummy favours at the same time. What’s best is that in the your post-holiday binge-eating state, your stomach can still afford to chow down a couple without feeling guilty. Bridelicious is trying her hand at making them this weekend for her parents’ 30th anniversary. Keep posted on the results and start drooling!

Simple and sweet.
